Welcome to Foodstuffs Group
The Foodstuffs Group was formed in 2001 by John and Julie Morris, the directors of the Foodstuffs Group. Prior to this, John was a senior store manager with Woolworths/Safeway and left in 1987 to purchase his first supermarket in Healesville, Victoria. They owned and operated this store until 1998 when the store was purchased by Coles Ltd.
Over the last 10 years, they have also subsequently owned and operated IGA supermarkets in Bright, Wandong and Seville. In 2001 they purchased Alchester Village IGA (Boronia) and formed the Foodstuffs Group. In 2004 they acquired Montrose IGA and in 2009 built and opened a brand new supermarket, Blackburn IGA plus Liquor, which they operated for the first two years.
